On Thursday, the Norwegian Security Service lowered the level of terrorist threat in the country, stating that "there is a small probability" of attacks occurring. It was clarified that this decrease does not represent a specific threat. The higher level of threat in Norway was established in 2014.
"This was accepted upon the advice of our colleagues from the intelligence community," said a representative of the Norwegian police. He was also asked about the terrorist threats in the recent past following attacks in France and Austria.
