On Monday, the Norwegian army announced that the country has reached an agreement with the United States to purchase modern medium-range air-to-air rocket systems (AMRAAM). The new weapon will be used on F-35 fighters, which are also in the process of acquiring by Norway.

According to a representative of the Norwegian Armed Forces, this agreement will strengthen Norwegian-American cooperation in the field of defense and help ensure the safety of both Norway and its allies. It is also noted that the new weapon will significantly enhance the combined capabilities of the Norwegian army.

"The implementation of the AMRAAM rocket on our F-35s will strengthen our capabilities in the field of defense, ensuring national safety and contributing to allied interests," noted a representative of the Norwegian army.
