Norwegian Court Rules on Sisters' ISIS Membership

On Friday, a Norwegian court found two sisters guilty, who had traveled to Syria in 2013 at a young age, joining the terrorist organization 'Islamic State'. The court found that both sisters had participated in the activities of the group in Syria.

One of the sisters, who was 16 at the time of the events, was sentenced to three years in prison, while the other, who left for Syria at the age of 19, was sentenced to one year in prison. The court took into account their young age at the time of joining "Daesh".

"This was a challenging decision, but the court believes that the participation of each sister in the terrorist organization was conscious," the judge's representative commented.
