NEO Gamma: The Future of Household Robotics

The Norwegian company 1X recently introduced its new humanoid robot model NEO Gamma, equipped with artificial intelligence and capable of performing a range of domestic tasks, such as vacuuming, mopping surfaces, and cleaning dust.

According to the company, NEO Gamma is able to perform various actions, such as picking up objects from the floor, sitting on a chair, organizing scattered items around the house, and even pouring tea into a cup. The robot is also capable of responding to user commands and engaging in simple conversations, as well as playing music through a speaker installed in its chest.

To enhance the robot's human-like qualities, the company collaborates with the Japanese firm Shima Seiki, a manufacturer of knitting machines, for creating a soft and smooth costume that hides the robot's metallic body. Thanks to advanced artificial intelligence, 1X is capable of operating autonomously, but with the help of four built-in microphones, it can effectively respond to user commands.

As robots that resemble humans become a reality in everyday life, it is essential to develop them alongside people - they cannot evolve independently. The company actively uses data on human movement for training the robot to perform various actions more human-like.

1X President Bjorn Borgning stated: "In the near future, everyone will have their own home assistants, similar to Rosie or Baymax."
